Michelle Missimer's PledgePage - Sam's Club MS 150

I am at it again! This time I am participating in a 160 mile bike ride from Frisco to Ft. Worth on May 3 and 4, 2008.

The Sam's Club MS 150 is a two-day cycling adventure through North Texas that raises funds to help people living with multiple sclerosis. I am riding this race in honor of two friends, Rita and Vanita, both diagnosed with MS in the year 2000.

Although I will be spending many hours preparing for this ride, more important than my physical committment to the program is my pledge to raise funds for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Multiple sclerosis is a chronic disease of the central nervous system affecting the brain and spinal cord. It usually strikes adults in the prime of life - between the ages of 20 and 50. One new case MS is diagnosed every hour.

I have set a personal goal of raising $500 toward this effort. Please do not feel obligated to contribute, but all donations are greatly appreciated. As I ride the course, you will be with me in spirit, and your sponsorship will inspire me to push on.

Thank you so much for your support and generosity!

Michelle
